The Wakinikona Hui Wa'a has several canoes that are used for racing, practicing and recreational outings with our Junior team, whom we call Venturers. Most of these activities center around our OC-6 canoes (6 Person) and variations of them can be used to accommodate more paddlers for added speed. This is usually done by lashing two hulls together and removing the two ama's from both canoes. Click here to see one of these modifications. The Club also makes use of its member's OC-1 craft for single-person races, although the club now owns and stores two OC-1 crafts. |
